CLOCK AND TIMER

SETTING THE CLOCK

1 Press the CLOCK button on theremote control,
and press the II SET button within 4 second .

. 2 Press the 44 DOWN or >> UP button to

designate the hour, and press the II SET button.
The hour stops flashing and the minute starts flashing.

3 Press the 44]DOWN or Pb UP button to
designate the minute, and press the II SET
button.

The minute stops flashing on the display and the clock starts
from 00 seconds.

To display the current time *
Press the CLOCK button on the remote control. The time is
displayed for 4 seconds.

However the time cannot be displayed'during recording.

To switch to the 24-hour standard

Press the CLOCK button on the remote control and then press
the I button within 4 seconds

Repeat the same procedure to restore the 12- hour standard

It the clock display flashes

This' Is caused by a power interruption. The current time needs
to be reset.

If power is interrupted for more than approximately 24 hours.
all settings stored in memory after purchase need to be reset.

SETTING THE TIMER

The unit can be turned on at a specified time every day with the
built- in timer. .

_ Preparation

Make sure the clock is set correctly.

Use the remote control.

1 Press the TIMER button once to display 6, and
press the II SET button within 4 seconds.

NOTE
If you press the II SET button after 4 seconds, another
operation may start.

2 Designate the hour of the timer-on time by
pressing the K4 DOWN or »I UP button, and

press the II SET button. Repeat to designate the
minute of the timer-on time.

After you designate the timer- -on time, one of the source name '
flashes on the display for 4 seconds.

3 Within 4 seconds press one of the function
buttons to select a source.
The selected source name flashes for 4 seconds. At this time
the selected function button does not light up.

-If the TUNEFt button' Is pressed, the band cannot be'selected
in this step.

Coloque Ios altavoces para sacar el mayor provecho del efeoto
SURROUND.

® Altavoces de sonido ambiental
Ponga Ios altavoces de sonido ambienlal por detrés de la
zona de escucha.

Para montar Ios altavoces de sonido ambiental en la
pared
Monte cada altavoz en un lugar gue pueda aguantar su peso.

El sonido no se oiré por los altavoces do sonido ambiental cuando
el SURROUND esié desaciivado.

CONEXION DE UNA ANTENA EXTERIOR

Para oblener la mejor reoepcion de FM 53 recomienda utilizar
una antena exterior.
Conecie la aniena exterior a Ios ierminales FM 75 £2.

Para conectar olro equipo opcional -~ pégina 23.

CONTROL REMUTD

lnsercién de Ias pilas
Quite Ia tapa de las pilas, ubicada en la parte trasera del control
remoio, e inserte dos pilas R6 (Iamar'io AA).

Cuéndo reemplazar las pilas

La distancia méxima de operacién entre el control remoto y el
sensor de sefiales de la unidad principal deberé ser de 5 metros
aproximadamente. Cuando disminuya esta distancia, reemplaoe
Ias pilas por oiras nuevas.

Utili2aclén del control remote

Las instrucciones descritas en este manual se refieren
principalmente a los bolones de la unidad principal. Los botones
del control remote con Ios mismos nombres pueden usarse de
la misma manera que Ios de la unidad principal

- Si Ia unidad no va a ser utilizada durante mucho tiempo, quite

Ias pilas para evitar Ias posihles fugas de electrolito.

- El control remoto quizé no luncione correctamente cuando:

» La linea de vision entre el control remote y el sensor de
sefiales del interior del visualizador esté oxpuesla a una luz
intensa como, por eiemplo, la luz del sol.

- Otros coniroles remotos (Ios de un televisor, etc.) estén siendo
utilizados cerca de esia unidad.

Pour mettre Iappareil sous tension

Appuyer sur une des touches de function (TAPE, TUNER,
VIDEO/AUX, CD,VMD).

La lecture du disque ou de la cassette en place commence, ou

la station écoutée en demier est regue (tonction de laoturs

directe).

On peut aussi appuyer sur la touche POWER.

Quand lappareil est'mis sous tension, le compartlment a disques
peut souvrir et se termer pour réinitialisation de Iappareil,

Made DEMO (Démonstration)

Quand on branche Ie cordon secteur, la fenétre dalfichage
montre les functions de | appareil Lors de la mise sous tension
I'aflichage Ide demonstration est remplacé par I'affichage
dopération. Quand I'alimentatlon est coupée, le mode DEMO
est retabli.

Pour annuler ie mode DEMO

Appuyer sur la touche DEMO. Laffichage de lhorloge
apparait. (Pour régler I'heure courante, voir la partie
.FlEGLAGE DE LHORLOGE", page 21.) Pour retablir le mode
DEMO, appuyer denouveau sur la touche DEMO.

Chaque fois qu'on branche Ie cordon secteur ou quon appuie
sur une des touches de function, Ies touches correspondent é
cette operation sallument ou clignotent.

Exemple: Quand on branche le cordon seeteur, la touche II
SET clignote pour guiderdans Ie réglage de Iheure courante.

Fenétre clignotante

La lenétre située au sommet de Iappareil sallume ou clignote

quand l'appareil est mis sous tension.

Pour éteinolre I'écleirage de la fenétre supeneure, appuyer sur

la touche I tout en appuyant sur la touche CD. Pour rallumer
Ieclairage, répétercette opéralion.

Pour mettre lappareil hers tension
Appuyer sur la touche POWER.

appuyer sur les touches VOLUME de la télécommande
Le niveau du volume est afliché sous la forme dun nombre de 0

Le systéme BBE augments Ia clarté du son aux frequences

Appuyer sur la touche BBE.

A chaque pression sur cette touche. Ie niveau change.
Sélectionner un des trois niveaux ou la position de repos, oomme
on préffere.

SYSTEME SUPER T-BASS

Le systeme T-BASS améliore Ie Iréalisrne du son aux basses
fréquences. -
Appuyer sur la touche T-BASS.

A chaque presslon sur cette touche, le niveau change.
Selectionner un des trois niveaux ou la position de repos, comme
on prélere.

B EMAROUE

Le son aux basses fréquences risque djétre deformé quand Ie
systeme T- BASS est utilisé pour un disque ou une cassette dont
Ie son aux basses lréquences est accentué d origine. Dans (:9
cas, annular is systeme T- BASS.
