Please read this manual. Upon completion you will
understand the set-up and operation of your DIA 100
Direct Input Amplifier.

input jack on the rear panel. Before inserting or remov-
ing any connectors be certain the amplifier is OFF. The
audio output of a video source can be connected to
any input.

OUTPUT - Connect the input of your tape recorders
to the tape outputs on the back panel of the DIA TOO.

Power Switch
Turns DIA TOO on or off. Green light illuminates when
the amplifier is on.

Volume Control

To increase volume, rotate volume control clockwise.
At any given position of the volume control the actual
volume may differ from source to source due to differ-
ent output levels of different sources. Therefore prior to
changing source or recording we suggest you fully
lower the volume control and re-adjust to the desired
listening level.

Balance Control

Rotating the balance control clockwise from its
centered detented position will decrease the output of
the left speaker. Rotating the balance control counter-
clockwise will decrease the output of the right speaker.

Listen Switch

By rotating this knob you select the source for
listening. Clockwise from the left, the sequence is;
TAPE 1, TAPE 2, AUX, TUNER, D/A, CD.

Record Switch

By rotating this knob you select the source you wish
to record from. Clockwise from the left the sequence is;
CD, D/A, TUNER, AUX, TAPE 2, TAPE 1. This allows you the
convenience of listening to one source while recording
from another.

General Information

Although all Acurus components are burned-in prior
to delivery, it has been our experience that the amplifi-
ers continue to improve during the first 250 hours of use.

Although all Acurus amplifiers contain comprehen-
sive protection circuitry, they still may be damaged
due to misuse. Therefore please use the following basic
safety precautions:

Allow adequate ventilation on top and all sides of the
Acurus amplifiers. Never place directly on carpeted
floor.

NEVER attach or remove speaker cables or input
cables with the amplifier on.

Remove power cord from wall outlet when chang-
ing fuses.

Be very careful with the placement of a_H your
systems wiring. Many times placement of wiring will
alter the amount of background noise or hum that is
audible.
